Standard notarial acts — jurats, acknowledgements, and similar — are $10 each. Specialty documents (power of attorney and living will / advance directive) are $35 each because they carry higher liability and require closer attention. The act type is selected at booking and the price updates instantly.

A notarial act is each individual ceremony the notary performs: every signature that requires a jurat, every acknowledgement, every oath. If a single document has three signers each requiring an acknowledgement, that is three acts ($30). If one signer notarizes three separate documents, that is three acts. When you book, you enter the number of acts you expect — your notary will confirm the exact count on arrival and the total adjusts accordingly.

Count the number of signatures that will be notarized, not the number of pages or documents. One signature under a jurat = one act. One acknowledgement block = one act. If you're unsure, list your documents when booking and your notary will confirm the act count before you're charged.

Mileage is charged at $0.76 per mile based on the total round-trip distance from the notary's dispatch point to your location and back. For example, if you're 8 miles away, that's a 16-mile round trip × $0.76 = $12.16 in travel. We estimate this from your zip code at booking and confirm the exact mileage on arrival.

Your notary has to reach you and return home or to the next appointment. Charging round-trip keeps the fee honest and proportional to the actual time and fuel the trip requires.

There is no minimum service fee — you pay the per-act rate ($10 standard, $35 for specialty documents like POAs and living wills) plus round-trip mileage for your location, with a $5 minimum on the mileage charge. Same-day dispatch and evening availability are included at no extra charge. Optional add-ons: $35 if we provide a witness, $35 for a weekend appointment, $50 for a rush (within one hour), and a facility fee for hospital, nursing home, or jail visits.

If your document requires a witness and you can't provide one, we can supply one for a flat $35 per witness. Tell us how many you need when booking and the total updates instantly. If you bring your own witness, there's no charge.

A flat $35 weekend surcharge applies to any Saturday or Sunday appointment, and a flat $50 rush surcharge applies when you need a notary within one hour (the “Today — ASAP” window). They're independent — a same-day rush on a weekend adds both. Regular weekday and evening appointments carry no surcharge.

Yes. Facility visits require extra coordination — check-in, visitor approval, parking, and longer on-site time. A hospital or nursing home visit adds a flat $75 facility fee, and a jail or detention-center visit adds $100 because of the additional clearance and lead time. This is on top of the per-act and mileage charges, and it's shown in your total before you book.

We accept cash, all major credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover), and digital wallets (Apple Pay and Google Pay). Payment is collected on-site once your documents are sealed. Card and digital-wallet payments are processed securely and a receipt is provided.

You pay after your documents are notarized, on-site. The total you see in the booking calculator is an estimate; the final amount is confirmed once the notary verifies the exact act count and odometer reading.
